Description

These comforting Banana Oatmeal Bars are simple to make with ripe bananas and pantry staples, perfect for snacking or breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a large bowl.
  3. Add oats, honey or maple syrup, peanut butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well until combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
