Description
The viral boy kibble recipe made with ground beef, white rice, garlic, soy sauce, and eggs. Ready in 25 minutes, 38g protein per bowl, and built for real meal prep that holds 4 days in the fridge.
Ingredients
500g lean ground beef 80/20
2 cups cooked white rice, day-old preferred
2 eggs
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup mixed frozen vegetables, optional
Salt and black pepper to taste
Sriracha to serve, optional
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir 45 to 60 seconds until golden and fragrant.
2. Add ground beef. Let sit untouched for 2 minutes to sear, then break apart and cook 6 to 8 minutes until fully browned. Season with salt and black pepper.
3. Push beef to one side. Crack eggs into the empty space and scramble gently until just set, about 90 seconds. Fold into the beef.
4. Add cooked rice and frozen vegetables. Stir over high heat 2 to 3 minutes until rice is hot and slightly toasted.
5. Pour soy sauce over everything and toss quickly to coat evenly. Taste and adjust salt. Serve warm or divide into meal prep containers.
Notes
Use day-old rice for best texture. Fresh rice is too wet and makes the bowl heavy.
Do not stir the beef immediately. Let it sear untouched for 2 minutes first for proper browning.
Store in sealed airtight containers in the fridge up to 4 days.
Add a small splash of water before microwaving to keep rice from drying out.
Cook eggs fresh per serving when meal prepping. Scrambled eggs do not reheat well in bulk.
Swap ground beef for ground turkey or ground chicken for a lower fat version.
