Description

Delightful chocolate cookies filled with rich chocolate ganache, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache (for filling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Gently press your thumb into the center of each ball to create a small well.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cookies are set but still soft.
  9. Allow them to cool slightly before filling each well with rich chocolate ganache.
  10. Let the cookies cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. To freeze, layer cookies with parchment paper in a freezer-safe container.
