Description

Delightful holiday brownies with a rich chocolate flavor and festive frosting, perfect for winter celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Red and green sprinkles (for decoration)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the unsalted butter and stir in the granulated sugar.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
  10. To make the frosting, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  11. Spread the frosting over the brownies and decorate with red and green sprinkles.
  12. Cut into squares and serve.
