Description

A comforting and quick chicken dish where tender drumsticks are simmered in a creamy paprika sauce alongside fluffy rice.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup rice
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken drumsticks and brown on all sides.
  3. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Stir in paprika, then add the cream and chicken broth, mixing until smooth.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and add rice.
  7. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and rice is tender.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use full-fat cream. You can also add a splash of lemon juice for a tangy lift.
