Description

A comforting and elegant side dish made from creamy mashed potatoes, shaped and baked until golden, perfect for sharing with family.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • Salt to taste
  • White pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Mash the potatoes until smooth, then mix in the heavy cream and butter until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the egg yolks, salt, white pepper, and parmesan cheese if using.
  6. Use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to pipe the potato mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in decorative shapes.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and reheated in the oven for the best texture.
