  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for drizzle)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (for drizzle)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder; gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Mix until just combined, then fold in the lemon juice.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. For the drizzle, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth, then drizzle over the cake once cooled slightly.
