Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and ½ cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes).
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour, salt, and chopped nuts; stir gently until combined.
- Roll tablespoons of dough into balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until bottoms are golden; let cool on wire racks for 5 minutes before rolling in powdered sugar.
Notes
For a festive twist, brush a few with a thin glaze or add a touch of orange zest or cinnamon. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
