Description
Crispy and flavorful spicy-honey-cauliflower bites that perfectly balance sweetness and heat. A delicious snack or appetizer your whole family will love.
Ingredients
1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetable oil for frying or air frying
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons hot sauce or sriracha
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (optional)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add cold water slowly and mix until smooth batter forms.
2. Dip cauliflower florets into the batter, letting excess drip off.
3. Fry in hot oil until golden and crisp, about 3-4 minutes per batch, or air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
4. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Heat over low heat until warmed through and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Toss crispy cauliflower bites in the spicy honey sauce until evenly coated.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian or vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup and use gluten-free flour if needed. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in an air fryer for best texture.
