Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with the granulated and brown sugar until fully combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
  6. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them out, and top each with extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt if desired.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are just set.
  10. Let cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
