Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with the granulated and brown sugar until fully combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and stir until smooth.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them out, and top each with extra chocolate chips and flaky sea salt if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are just set.
- Let cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
