Description

A rich and creamy White Hot Chocolate that evokes warm memories and brings the family together during cold winter evenings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Crushed peppermint or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients and lay them out on the countertop.
  2. Measure 2 cups of whole milk and pour it into a medium-sized saucepan.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir occasionally to avoid scorching.
  4. Once the milk is steaming but not boiling, add in 1 cup of white chocolate chips and stir until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
  5. Pour in 1/4 cup of heavy cream and stir to enrich the texture.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir gently.
  7. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before pouring into mugs.
  8. Top each mug with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed peppermint or cocoa powder, if desired.

Notes

Make a large batch to enjoy over multiple days, and reheat gently on the stove when needed.
