Description

A nostalgic dessert featuring layers of crispy phyllo dough filled with a creamy ricotta and mascarpone mixture, studded with mini chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Cocoa powder for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a big bowl, mix together the ricotta, mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  4. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter.
  5. Layer another sheet on top and brush with more butter.
  6. Cut the dough into squares and place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each.
  7. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling and brush the tops with butter.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

For a cozier aroma, add a little extra vanilla. Serve warm with fresh berries or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
