Description
Ultra-soft gooey homemade cinnamon rolls with brown sugar filling and cream cheese frosting. Perfect for brunch, ready in 2 hours.
Ingredients
1 cup warm milk (110°F)
2 tsp instant yeast
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup butter, softened
4-4.5 cups bread flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, softened for filling
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Heat milk, stir in yeast and sugar. Let sit 5 min.
2. Mix in eggs, butter, flour, salt. Knead 10 min until smooth.
3. Rise 1 hour until doubled.
4. Roll to 12×18 rectangle. Spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar.
5. Roll tightly, cut 12 slices. Place in greased 9×13 pan.
6. Rise 45 min. Bake 350°F 25 min.
7. Beat frosting: cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, milk.
8. Frost warm rolls.
Notes
Use bread flour for tenderness.
Proof in warm spot.
Freeze unbaked rolls up to 1 month.
Serve warm for best gooey texture.
