- 1 cup caramel candies
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Press the dough into a greased cookie sheet evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
- In a saucepan, combine caramel candies and heavy cream over low heat until melted and smooth. Pour this mixture over the cooled shortbread layer.
- Melt the milk chocolate chips with vegetable oil in another saucepan until smooth. Pour this layer over the caramel.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
