- 1 box Devil’s Food Chocolate cake mix
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 16 ounces caramel sauce
- 8 ounces Cool Whip
- 4 pieces Heath bars (chopped)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes in it with a large straw.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake and then top with caramel sauce.
- Spread Cool Whip over the caramel and sprinkle with chopped Heath bars.
- Chill the cake for at least an hour before serving.
Notes
For a lighter topping, you can substitute half of the Cool Whip with lightly whipped heavy cream.
